I was born in 1975 Fukuoka Japan. I studied fine art beginning with the basics of paintings. Through the personal social-cultural experiences, the focus of my interest has slowly shifted from paintings to more three dimensional approach or more complex creative activities. After undertaking several projects in Japan, I was invited to take part in artist residency programs in Seoul, South Korea. It was my first international artistic experience. As a result of this two years cultural experience in South Korea, with a Korean artist, I organized a Korea-Japan cultural exchange exhibition in Tokyo and Seoul. And since 2006, I am now living in Paris.
Based on site-specific point of view, I am extremely interested in observing cultural localities. To precisely grasp pure impression of the site, I do not have formal methods. But adding a symbolic form to the peculiarity, I am representing the cultural localities as site-specific art piece. To cover the temporariness of the site-specific works, I employ the video. It is not only for archives but independently functioning as an art piece which features my project from another angle.
